What do I wear?
We recommend athletic wear that allows you to move freely.
Pole Classes - Typically a tank top, sports bra, and snug athletic shorts work well. Dancers who attend class regularly often decide to invest in pole fitness wear, including sports bra tops and hot shorts. To see some of our favorite pole fitness attire, please go to our Pinterest board.
Fly Gym/Ballet Classes - Anything you feel comfortable moving in. Fitted yoga pants and a tight shirt often work best, as this allows the instructor to oberserve your technique and lines more accurately. Bare feet, socks, or ballet flats are acceptable.
Is there stripping?
The Diva Dive is a fitness studio, clothing and keeping it classy required at all times.
Are men allowed in the studio?
Men interested in the aerial arts are allowed to participate in our Fly Gym and co-ed pole classes. They may also schedule private lessons.
Is the studio private?
Yes, the studio is completely private, and we do not allow people to observe classes without instructor approval.
What do I need to know before my first class?
The Diva Dive is a judgment-free zone; we welcome all ages, ability levels, and sizes. If you are under the age of 18, your parent or legal guardian will need to sign a consent form.
Please arrive 10 minutes before the start of your class. Refrain from wearing body lotion the day of your class as you could slip off the pole or leave dangerous residue on the pole. We do not wear rings or bracelets, because they scratch the pole. Intro classes are taken without socks or shoes. You may want to bring your own water bottle.
Should I bring a yoga mat?
You are welcome to bring your own mat, but mats will be provided for you by the studio. Studio mats are cleaned after each use!
Is the equipment safe?
Yes, all equipment is safe.
Can I wear my heels?
You can wear heels in our intermediate, advanced, and certain specialty classes. To see some of our favorite pole-approved heels, please see our Pinterest board.
I have taken classes before, do I have to start in the intro class?
Please send an email to email@example.com explaining your previous pole training. The instructors will assess which class level will be best for you.
How do I move up to the next level?
You may move up to the next level with your primary instructor’s permission.
Do you have a cancelation policy?
Each student is responsible for their own cancelation, they may do so on MINDBODY. Sign in and select 'my schedule'. Unattended classes without prior canceleations will be charged a $5 no-show fee.
